Glock 27

The Glock 27 is certainly one of your best options when it comes to a 40 caliber handgun. Its size and weight make it a perfect conceal carry option. The overall construction makes it the most preferred when it comes to manageability in follow-up shots. Just like other Glock family guns, Glock 27 is very famous amongst the law enforcement and military agencies all over the globe. This is because of their unbeatable delivery and reliability.

When it comes to size, Glock 27 is classified as the sub compact 40 caliber handgun. It measures approximately 6.40 inches in length, 4.17 inches in height and just about 1.19 inches in thickness. The barrel of Glock 27 extends to about 3.42 inches in length. Considering the fact that it is sub-compact, this barrel length is quite accurate, allowing easy to target follow-up shots. Glock 27 weighs around 27 oz. when loaded, which does not make it the lightest gun around; however, it is by no means a heavy handgun.

The Glock 27 is manufactured to perform quickly and efficiently. Field strip is probably the easiest as compared to any other handgun you can think of. In fact, if you decide to take everything apart one piece at a time, so that all parts of the gun are disassembled, it should not take you more than a few minutes! However, while doing it you have to go through a step where the trigger has to be pulled to get the slide off the gun. This should be carefully managed by making sure that the chamber is free of bullet, otherwise it will go off. There is no need of directions for field stripping, and it definitely excels every other handgun when it comes to user-friendly construction.

In the firepower department, Glock 27 offers nine rounds standard. However, there are options to buy different magazines, which are usually not needed, considering this pistol is made for concealed carry.

Carefully considering ergonomics, Glock 27 does not fail to impress in this regard. It provides a comfortable feel in the grip of a medium-sized hand. The generation 4 category of this handgun comes with an adjustable back strap, which is absent in generation 3 products. The angle, at which the grip is to the barrel, helps get the sights quickly. The placement of magazine release and slide release does not interfere while you are discharging the gun. For the lefties, the generation 4 version should work better because of the additional feature of a magazine release on the right hand side.

Although, Glock 27 comes with the Safe Action System, there are no external safety features provided. This is because the Glock family is famous with the law enforcement community, where the use of the gun has to be quick and right on target. External safety features sometimes are caught up in clothing while drawing, which inhibits a hasty response. Therefore, with Glock 27, all safety measures are internal and work well for the user's safety.

Overall, Glock 27 is a powerful gun that is easy to conceal, accurate, and most importantly, reliable.
